Russian Forces Strike Power Substations in Odesa and Mykolaiv

1 Min Read

Russia’s Defense Ministry has said that power substations in Odesa and Mykolaiv that supported the operation of port and logistics infrastructure were struck overnight.

It said the targets included the Usatove substation in Odesa and the Novaya substation in Mykolaiv.

In addition, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that Russian air defense forces destroyed 389 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles overnight.

A notable feature of the reported strikes is that the targets were linked to the operation of port and logistics infrastructure. This indicates that the reported actions involved not only military facilities but also infrastructure that ensures the normal functioning of transportation.

At the same time, the information released was presented as part of a statement by Russia’s Defense Ministry, and the report contains no data on the damage caused by the strikes or the state of electricity supplies. Therefore, at this stage, it is not possible to assess the extent of damage to the substations or its impact on the operation of the relevant infrastructure.
