Seven other people were also arrested as part of the same proceedings, including the head of the Syunik regional division of the Environmental Patrol Service. The total number of detainees has therefore reached eight.

At this stage of the proceedings, the information available to the public is limited, making it impossible to fully understand the nature of the suspicions brought forward or the possible role of each person arrested. For this reason, the fact of the arrests should be distinguished from any subsequent legal assessment based on the published facts.

For now, it is only known that the case concerns criminal proceedings initiated over instances of giving and receiving bribes, while no additional information is being provided in the interests of the preliminary investigation.
