Temporary Traffic Restrictions in Yerevan on October 15-16

Due to visits of international delegations and high-ranking guests scheduled within the framework of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), vehicular traffic will be temporarily restricted on a number of streets in Yerevan on October 15 and 16 to properly ensure the safety and movement of guests.

On October 15, from 6:00 to 23:00, traffic will be periodically restricted on several key streets and road sections of the capital that will serve primary routes.

On October 16, from 6:00 to 20:00, periodic restrictions will also continue across other locations and road sections.

To avoid potential traffic jams, the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs urge citizens, where possible, to limit the use of private vehicles, prioritize public transportation, and plan routes in advance.

Hosting major international events in the capital naturally requires special security measures and temporary structural adjustments to traffic flow. These restrictions inevitably affect the daily rhythm of the city, placing an additional burden on public transit and adjacent streets.

On such days, it becomes essential for citizens to plan routes beforehand and, if feasible, travel on foot or take the metro.
