Within the framework of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, Converse Bank's pavilion showcases the bank's sustainable financing solutions and environmental, social, and governance initiatives aimed at accounting for long-term environmental impacts in financial decisions.

Bank CEO Hrant Hakobyan emphasized that nature conservation is no longer a choice, but a responsibility and an investment for future generations, while project manager Liana Vardumyan added that sustainable financing continues to create value for the economy. As part of its internal culture, the bank has been cooperating with a waste recycling organization since 2019, sorting and sending for recycling around four tons of plastic and twenty-one tons of paper, which has contributed to the preservation of more than four hundred trees.

According to a representative of the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative, Converse Bank was the first in the region to join the Principles for Responsible Banking, playing an important role in nature conservation.

The introduction of sustainable financing and green economy principles is becoming a core component of financial institutions' strategies today, especially as biodiversity conservation challenges are discussed on international platforms. Converse Bank's participation in the COP17 conference demonstrates how local financial institutions can integrate international standards into their operations.

These processes not only contribute to reducing environmental impact but also transform business culture within society. Cooperation with specialized NGOs and consistent waste sorting indicate that sustainable development principles are applied not only in statements, but also in practice.
