Inter Milan Stage Comeback to Beat Napoli After Trailing 2-0

In the third round of the Italian Serie A, defending champions Inter Milan secured a gritty 3-2 comeback victory over Napoli at home.

All goals came after the break, and early in the second half it looked as though the visitors were in control, as Napoli scored two quick goals.

However, Inter refused to fold and responded with three strikes, two of which came from Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, who netted the winner in stoppage time, in the 90+1st minute.

Former Armenia national team captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan was among Inter's substitutes this time but did not take the field, and the 37-year-old midfielder has yet to play a single minute this season.

With this victory, Inter top the standings with nine points, while Napoli sit 13th with three points.

This match once again showed just how unpredictable football can be, especially when it involves teams like Inter and Napoli. Coming back from 2-0 down to not only level but win is a true test of character and fighting spirit.

Also drawing attention is Henrikh Mkhitaryan's still-unstarted season. At 37, you would expect a player of his quality to gradually work his way into the lineup, but so far Simone Inzaghi has not even called him on as a substitute. Whether this is part of rotation or the coach's calculation, the coming rounds will tell, but one thing is certain: Inter's play inspires confidence, and comeback wins like these are exactly what is needed to defend the title.
