Passenger sucked halfway out of plane window after glass shatters mid-flight from Greece to Germany, saved by seatbelt

An emergency incident has occurred on a Ryanair flight. A window on a Boeing 737 flying from Thessaloniki to Memmingen detached from its frame. The air pressure pulled one of the passengers toward the opening.

Witnesses report that the head and shoulders of a 60-year-old Serbian passenger were pulled outside the aircraft. Other passengers were able to pull him back into the cabin. The man survived because his seatbelt was fastened.

According to the passengers, an explosion-like sound was heard initially. Then the window shattered, and oxygen masks dropped from above. Cabin pressure dropped sharply, and a foul odor spread throughout the cabin. Many screamed in fear.

Some passengers suspect the window was damaged by an engine explosion. The airline has not commented on this version of events. Ryanair only noted that the window detached during the flight.

The aircraft returned to Thessaloniki Airport and landed safely. The injured passenger received medical attention. The airline transported the remaining passengers to Germany on another plane.
