According to the insider, the company has directed the lion's share of orders toward the production of higher-margin Pro models. This year, Apple may also abandon the launch of the standard iPhone 18 to focus all its attention on more expensive devices. Although there were earlier rumors that production of the iPhone 18 series had already begun, current reports indicate strategic changes.
The main reason for the potential price increase is the rising cost of components. Specifically, TSMC, which produces chips, has already raised its prices by about 10 percent, and the cost of memory modules has increased significantly. As a result, the starting price of the iPhone 18 Pro could rise by about 1,000 yuan, or approximately 150 US dollars.
