Azatutyun — The main suspect in the mass car-ramming incident in Berlin has been killed after attempting to attack police officers. The incident occurred in the capital's Spandau district, in an allotment garden complex where the suspect was hiding. Law enforcement officers located him, but he charged at them with a sharp cutting and stabbing weapon, prompting them to open fire. Despite the efforts of the fire service, he died at the scene.
As a reminder, on Saturday evening, during a crowded LGBT community event in Berlin, a car-ramming attack left one person dead and 17 others injured, several of whom were in life-threatening condition. The police later announced they were searching for a member of Berlin's Islamist circles suspected of carrying out the crime.
