168.am — A serious unsanitary situation has once again developed in the Central administrative district of Yerevan. On one of the streets in the Noragyugh neighborhood, due to a clogged manhole, sewage has overflowed and is flowing along the road, also flooding the basements of people's homes, and this has been going on for four days. According to residents, this problem is not new; they say such foul-smelling incidents recur almost every month, and they have repeatedly called 'Veolia Water,' the Yerevan Municipality, and the Central district administration, but in response have only received buck-passing from one to another. Specifically, 'Veolia Water' insists it is not within its jurisdiction, the municipality points to 'Veolia Water,' and the district head, according to residents, seems not to respond at all, as if he is on 'the red planet.' The road has become almost impassable, and the area is filled with a stench and a visible danger of an epidemic.
