Mediamax — Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed a range of bilateral and international agenda issues during a telephone conversation, and emphasized the constructive nature of Russian-Azerbaijani relations.

Special attention was paid to the activation of dialogue between governments and relevant departments, which indicates a qualitatively new level of relations between the two countries.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, according to the Kremlin press service.

The same information is also reported by the press service of the President of Azerbaijan, noting that the conversation touched upon current issues of both the bilateral and international agenda.

It is worth recalling that on July 27, Vladimir Putin also had a telephone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and earlier Baku had called on Moscow not to link issues related to Russian-Armenian relations with those concerning Azerbaijan.
