Armtimes — A forest fire that broke out in the Kaş district of Turkey's Antalya province continues to rage for the second consecutive day. The fire has spread through a forested area in the Üzümlü neighborhood, where the terrain is notably challenging, rugged, and difficult to access.
Firefighting operations continued throughout the night. Despite difficulties posed by the terrain, ground forces have been working tirelessly to bring the flames under control. A large number of specialists and equipment are involved in the operation, including 26 water tankers, 9 water supply vehicles, 5 rapid response vehicles, and a technical team of 155 personnel.
The situation shifted slightly this morning as air support joined the efforts. Special helicopters and aircraft have been deployed to combat the blaze, providing the ability to reach the most difficult sections of the area. Operations are ongoing with the goal of preventing any further spread of the fire.
