Seven Wagons of Propane Dispatched from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan Transit

Another cargo shipment from Russia to Armenia has been carried out through the territory of Azerbaijan. Seven rail wagons carrying propane, with a total weight of 242 tons, were dispatched from Bilajari station.

This is not the first instance of goods reaching Armenia via this route. To date, more than 50,000 tons of grain, around 9,000 tons of fertilizer, 1,172 tons of propane, 1,114 tons of coal, 133 tons of aluminum, and 67 tons of timber have been sent to Armenia from Russia via Azerbaijani transit.

In addition to the transit of Russian cargo, goods have also been supplied directly from the neighboring country. Around 15,000 tons of diesel fuel, as well as approximately 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline, have been exported from Azerbaijan to Armenia.

The operation of transport corridors and transit routes is of key importance for regional economic activity. Moving such volumes of fuel, grain, and other raw materials demonstrates the practical functioning of logistical infrastructure.

Trade volume indicators show that supply chains are gradually establishing stable flows. In the near future, focus will remain on how well current cargo volumes are maintained and how they will impact domestic market pricing.
