The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Latvia have signed an important document. Ararat Mirzoyan and Baiba Braže confirmed the bilateral protocol regarding the implementation of the agreement between Armenia and the European Union on the readmission of persons residing without authorization.
This step is aimed at regulating documentation and migration processes between the countries and strengthening cooperation.
The signing of this protocol is another step toward deepening Armenia-EU relations and clarifying legal cooperation. The improvement of readmission mechanisms is of key importance in the context of the ongoing dialogue on visa liberalization with the European Union. The conclusion of such bilateral protocols with European partner countries, including Latvia, demonstrates Armenia's readiness to properly control migration flows and fulfill its international obligations.
