Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it struck an American aircraft carrier and a destroyer with several ballistic missiles. According to the Iranian side, the US vessels were forced to leave the conflict zone due to the damage sustained.
In a statement released by the IRGC, it was noted that the ships were targeted for pursuing Iranian vessels and participating in a naval blockade against Iran. Iranian officials claimed that Washington has already been forced to officially acknowledge the attack on its two ships. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps described this as living proof of a strategic defeat for the US, as well as a testament to the powerful offensive capabilities of its own armed forces.
The Iranian side also warned Washington that if hostile actions continue, the American side will face terrifying consequences. The IRGC emphasized that they now stand stronger than ever, and that defeat and regret are the inevitable fate of the aggressors.
The situation in the Middle East remains extremely tense, and such statements indicate a new, more dangerous phase of military confrontation. The information war between the parties often becomes as severe as the actual military operations themselves.
In this environment, it is critical to monitor official responses from Washington and confirmation from independent sources, as the true scale of naval incidents often becomes clear only later. Over the coming days, it will become evident whether this will lead to a further escalation of naval presence in the region.
