US President Donald Trump has issued a stern statement, warning Iran of severe consequences should the country attempt to assassinate him. Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that 1,000 missiles are currently aimed at Iran.
According to the President, these missiles are in combat readiness. If Iran carries out its threats, it will be met with thousands of additional strikes. Trump asserted that the US military is prepared to destroy Iranian territory, stating that orders have already been issued.
Previously, Israel had provided intelligence to the US indicating that Iran had a new and specific plot to kill Trump. US law enforcement agencies have also reported similar threats on multiple occasions, pointing to suspects with ties to Iran.
Tehran has officially denied all accusations. This statement comes against the backdrop of heightened tensions between the US and Iran, as both countries continue to face deep disagreements regarding security issues.
