The building housing the Multi Wellness gym, owned by Gagik Tsarukyan, has become the property of the Yerevan Municipality, Factor reports.
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan stated that the building was constructed on communal land and involved construction violations. The municipality terminated the contract, and the building has since been transferred to the community.
According to Avinyan, the violations were recorded a year ago. Although the parties engaged in negotiations, no resolution was reached. The mayor denied that this process is linked to other actions being taken against Gagik Tsarukyan.
The facility will continue to operate as a sports center and will be converted into a municipal gym. Avinyan noted that they will take the social component into account and protect the rights of those who train there.
Addressing properties owned by others, the mayor assured that names do not matter. It is irrelevant to the municipality who the owner of the property is; they are dismantling or refurbishing all problematic structures.
