Pastinfo.am — A tragic incident in Berlin on the evening of July 25 has shocked both Germany and the world. At the conclusion of the annual LGBTQ parade, "Christopher Street Day," a white vehicle plowed into the crowd at high speed near the Brandenburg Gate, then collided with a tree. The hit-and-run killed one woman and left 16 people with injuries of varying severity, several in critical condition. Police have officially classified the incident as a terror attack. Witnesses say the driver exited the vehicle and fled the scene. Investigators are also probing a potential cold weapon attack, as multiple people reported stabbings and a man armed with a machete. The suspect is identified as 21-year-old Abdul B., who has ties to Islamist circles in Berlin. He was held in a juvenile detention facility until May 2026, and according to neighbors, had recently boasted of planning an attack. Law enforcement has released his photo, and a manhunt is underway.
