Armenia Deepens Cooperation with Baltic States

1 Min Read

Armenia is consistently expanding its partnership with all Baltic states, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia.

During Minister Ararat Mirzoyan's first visit to Riga, discussions focused on the development of Armenia-Latvia bilateral relations. The parties also addressed various topics regarding the Armenia-EU partnership. Special attention was paid to ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening Armenia's economic and energy resilience.

The intensification of relations with the Baltic states aligns with the broader logic of Armenia's foreign policy diversification. Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania have traditionally served as active advocates within the European Union for closer ties with Eastern Partnership countries.

Ararat Mirzoyan's visit to Riga demonstrates Yerevan's aim to translate the deepening of relations with the EU into concrete sectors, with an emphasis on economic and energy security. It will become clear in the near future what practical agreements will emerge from this political dialogue.
